Squirrel hunting help?

Is 320 fps OK for shooting squirrels?Squirrel hunting help?
Nope. I have had an old Diana under lever with the Winchester brand on it since I was a kid (many many moons ago) and used to hunt squirrels with it. It was .177 cal at about 750fps. It would put them down with a head shot but would require a coup de grace to finish them. 320fps is not suitable for any type of hunting.Squirrel hunting help?
It depends on the caliber and weight of the pellet. 320 fps with a .177 caliber, 8 grain pellet would give you 1.8 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. 320 fps with 5.1 grain, .177 caliber BBs would give you 1.2 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. 320 fps with a 14 grain, .22 caliber pellet would give you 3.2 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.(1) Squirrels require 3 ft-lbs of impact energy.(2) If your gun shoots .177 caliber pellets or BBs, it doesn't have enough energy to humanely kill a squirrel at the muzzle, much less at typical hunting ranges of 20 yards or more. If your gun shoots .22 caliber pellets, then it barely has enough power to kill squirrels at the muzzle and might be able to kill squirrels at no more than 5-10 yards.

Honestly if you want to hunt squirrels with an airgun, you'd be better off getting a more powerful airgun such as the Crosman 2100, Crosman Phantom, or Crosman 2260.
No. 320 fps is incredibly underpowered. I suggest getting a 1000 fps pellet rifle. Look at the Crosman Quest. You can get one brand new for under 100 dollars.

Because of the low fps, I assume you have an airsoft gun. Short of bugs, airsoft guns can't be used to hunt anything. Their range is limited, and they only shoot plastic bbs. Those won't penetrate anything.
Don't do it, you would almost have to be at point blank range to kill the little buggers. Get a .22 LR or an air rifle in .22 or .177, make sure it goes over 600 fps, and you should be fine (within a limited range). I don't mean to dishearten you, but I really like humane kills, humane equaling no pain on the animal's part.
no! you need at least 3 lbs of force to take a squirrel and that would generate about 1.5 lbs. sorry.

I would reccomend a real airgun that shoots at least 700 FPS.
Not unless you just intent to annoy them.
no
no
if you shoot them in the head but i wouldent shoot a squrrial with anything under a 22 but yeah if u shot it in the head it would kill him dead
