I dont think that they will HUNT but will eat if found dead

I've watched a crow kill and eat select parts of two young squirrels in our front yard in the last two days. I haven't seen him swoop and do that actual kill, but there was no other cause of death possible...they were otherwise untouched critters inside a fenced yard. Not road kill.
