I agree with ';Hawaiianstyler'; Network54/forums is one of the best sources of airgun info.

%26gt;%26gt;What kind of .177 airgun pellets do you recommend%26lt;%26lt;

The ones your rifle prefers.

Use the pellets your gun is the most accurate with.

Some good ones to start with.

RWS

Beeman

JSB

H%26amp;N

Even if you and I had the exact same make/model air rifle, chances are they would prefer different pellets.

Since there are some who obviously have no clue what a .177 is capable of I will provide proof in the form of articles/photos/video.

The rabbit he shot at 44yds with his Beeman C1 .177(840-850fps MV) looks pretty dead to me. The .177 RWS Superdome at 44yds would have been traveling at 574fps and have 6.07fpe

there is no airgun, that i would recommend for anything other than target shooting.

they aren't powerful enough to make consistent clean kills, %26amp; i have that most airgun users, when they do kill something, they leave it to just rot.

i would suggest that you wait to kill any animal, untill you can have a weapon, that is capable of making consistent clean kills. Then, don't kill something like a rabbit or squirrel, unless you plan on eating it
None. Maybe cows with .177, but furry little mammals need to be taken with at least a .22 pellet for a clean, ethical, humane and in many states, LEGAL kill. In some states, you can't legally hunt with any air rifle.

My suggestion for hunting is to get something with at least 20 ft lbs muzzle energy, which means 800 fps with a 14.3 grain pellet. This will deliver enough energy ON target, to consistently kill with one shot, even if it isn't the best shot.

People that don't know better will thumbs down this answer, but that's just because they don't know any better. You also don't have to leave this forum to talk with ';real'; airgunners. To the poster implying you have to, by posting here, it is safe to assume he too is not a ';real'; airgunner.
