In Wa, do I need a license to go out to Ranier and hunt squirrels?

or other varmit with a .22? near the Rainer mountain? In Wa, do I need a license to go out to Ranier and hunt squirrels?
Dude,....they're all protected........In Wa, do I need a license to go out to Ranier and hunt squirrels?
First, you need a hunting license. Second, you can only hunt in public hunting areas on on private land, which would not include Mt. Ranier. There is plenty of private land around it, though.

Lastly, squirrels are not varmints. They are game animals with strict limits and seasons on when you can hunt them.
I love how the word ';hunt'; suddenly took on an entirely new cannotation.

Go down to your local pet store and buy a hundred or so rats and mice and let them go in your backyard. Shoot them to your heart's content.

';Hunting'; doesn't mean some teenager with his shiny new .22 looking for some living targets to mow down for fun.

It is a violation of Federal rules to have a firearm in a National Park. Mt Rainier is a closed area to all hunting as are all National Parks. Check the game rules at the state web page. Some squirrels are protected specie in the state. There are at least 3 specie in the state and you need to know the difference before you start shooting.
