Hunting eating squirrels ...?

if i kill squirrels, rabbits, birds is it safe to eat them i plain on doing this during the summer i will cook them on a fire outside.Hunting eating squirrels ...?
Sorry, what you're talking about doing is illegal. Your state has a season (not during the Summer) for different animals, and hunting with an air rifle is NOT legal in Mass.

Link below for laws to your state and game bag limits.

First of all where ever you choose to hunt and by what ever means make sure you have permision , other wise this is classed as pouching.

Should you be hunting with an air rifle and without permision it is then classed as armed trespass.

As for what you wish to hunt these spices are fine and are some good eating, just make sure you clean them well as well as cook them therow, otherwise a stomachake may be on the cards.

As for a game licence which is mentiond above, the game licencing system was abolished in 2006/2007

One thing i would like to point out to every one , which is a fault with yahoo answere is that in the uk we have our own hunting section so all english Questions pop up and onley english, how ever they also pop up on the international site.

When they pop up on our site i will give an answer that is correct to the way were licenced and governd over hear in the uk.

The question above is a uk question
Just watch out for little pus pockets - those are parasites. Don't eat any animal with them. And if you are going to grill them, be sure to marinade them first - teriyaki marinade is good. And don't overcook it to the jerky stage! Don't eat any animal that looks unhealthy. Birds are best if you cut their little breasts off the bone (like little chicken nuggets!) and fry them. If you soak them in salt water first, then rinse them, it will take some of that ';wild'; taste out and make it better. They all pretty much have a ';liver'; taste to them (squirrel, rabbit, robins and doves anyway), so I stick to venison and fish!
That's not a real easy question to answer accurately. Lots of times in big cities the animals can get all sorts of diseases. If you live in the country, it's not nearly as big of a concern.

But to answer your question generally, yes. Mankind has been eating small animals since we've walked the earth.

Field dressing, etc is something you need to research how before hand. It isn't something you instinctively know how to do. And there are some really important things you need to know like not to puncture any of the stomach, intestines, etc.

And finally, as mentioned, at least in the USA (don't know where you are at) you have to have a license and each animal has it's own season and you can't hunt them when they are out of season.
you are probably going to need a small game license to hunt them.

yes, they can be cooked and eaten...however it is hard to get them well cooked on a fire outside. Practice cooking a chicken or something like that on an open fire before you step up to wildlife
ya i have eatin squirrels, rabbits, and birds. be prepared for the squrrel meat to be a bit chewey, and dont expect a lot of meat on birds their feathers make them look big, and rabbits are by far the best of the three
Just make sure the food is thoroughly cooked with a probe. At my work (i'm a cook) we probe things to 82 Celsius, thats a bit over what it needs to be but you have to play it safe.
make sure the animals you are hunting are in season.also check for spots on the animals liver and in the chest cavity! do not eat them if you find any!
I believe they are alright, I have been eating them all my life.
why would you want to do that? doesnt sound too appealing.
sure just make sure its all legal!
Squirrels are especially nice with Salt ,, but birds especially little pretty song birds are best with a bit of garlic ,,, especially if they are caught mid song they tend to be more relaxed and less tense with the whole murdering process ,, therefore not as tough,,, get the beedy eyed noise makers from behind ,,, Rabbits are less diseased and nicest RAW ,,, a bit of lemon will break down meat enzymes causing it to be more succuelent ,,, If your not fussy Rats are a delicacy is some countries and I find are best kebabed !!! hope this has been some help to you ,,,,xxx
Hi

No wonder the wildlife's in such a state of decline, even the Hedgehogs are on the endangered species list. Without our wildlife the human race is in real trouble.
