How should i hunt squirrel with my bb gun?

i live in a wooded lot and i like squirrel hunting but wats a good way to hunt them with my bb gun walk around or hide How should i hunt squirrel with my bb gun?
BB gun does not pack the punch you need for a clean kill, you owe that to the prey.

Get a .22 cal pellet gun made for hunting small game.

Pellet ammo for hunting. How should i hunt squirrel with my bb gun?
i used to hunt squirrel with a bb gun. i would go for stomach shots with bbs with about 20 pumps. it dropped em real fast. but not always. you should use a pellet gun. you dont need a .22 caliber. everyone says that but you dont. you can use a .177 caliber at 950 fps or more. i just bought a .22

I'm assuming for the sake of argument that you have a hunting license, its not illegal to discharge an air-gun in the area you're hunting in, and your state doesn't ban the use of air guns on small game animals. (Consult your state's DNR to find out how to get a hunting license, and if your state allows hunting small game with an air gun. Consult your local police department to find out if it is legal to use an air gun in the area where you'll be hunting.)

Unless your BB gun is actually a high-power pellet rifle generating around 700 fps at the muzzle you shouldn't hunt squirrels with it. If it meets that criteria, you should get really, really close and go for head shots.
Firstly, if you live in an urban area, it may not even be legal to shoot them with a bb gun. You may want to check your city ordinances before you shoot anything.

Secondly, do you know what the fps is on your bb gun? If it's a rather slow gun, you stand a better chance of wounding or missing them rather than a clean humane kill. Plus a bb gun (I'm speaking of a gun not a rifle which can reach out a bit farther) is not very accurate at any distance and you will have to pretty close to have a chance at shooting one.

The best way this time of year, is to find Hickory trees and plant yourself close by if you find one with lots of nut ';castings'; around them.

I really don't want at all to sound like a mother hen, but in almost all states you need to purchase a hunting license to be able hunt and legally posses squirrel except on your own property here in Missouri, but you still have to abide by possesion and limits.

This time of year a great place to go is your conservation area with a .22 LR and find hickory trees there. Squirrels are very wary little things and the best way without a good dog is to sit still, any movement from the ground gets them going the other way or into the closest hole! Best time is early in the morning when the wind is calm and it's cool. Use lots of bug spray :o)
Unless you're very, very good, you'll never bag a squirrel with a BB gun. They lack sufficient power (although some are powerful enough, you'd have to make a head shot to get a good kill, and I really don't see that coming from someone asking if they can use a BB gun to hunt squirrels). And two, squirrels are a lot smarter than you. You'lll notice they keep the tree between you and themselves. Unless you gillie suit yourself up and hide under a bird feeder.
I have No idea about where you live, but in FLORIDA, it is illegal to hunt game animals with B B guns, or pellet guns in the .177 %26amp; .22 calibre.
Hunt them CAREFULLY !
Don't, it is cruel and inhumane.* use a 22 L.R.*
You don't hunt squirrels with a BB gun, you need at least a 22 pellet rifle.
