I agree with the ones that say tell your neighbor. They would like to know if their cat is dead
i also agree with every1 who says to tell your neighbor. they may be really mad but if you didn't tell them they would be very sad and you would feel very guilty everytime you see them.

Have enough guts to tell the neighbor and save them the angious of searching endless for it and the heart break of never knowing what happened to it. I searched for a missing pet until I got pneumonia and years later I still wonder about it. If the neighbor knows what happen they can be at peace. Also if you own up to the mistake they will know it was an accident and you feel bad.

Sad to say, I would bury the cat far, far away. Your neighbors are likely to sue you for negligence and win. People are very emotionally tied to their animals. You just killed somebody's kid.
Part of them is going to know that you shot their cat. If you're serious, this is very bad. You will be the cause of serious karmic problems until you admit that you killed the cat and buried it for them. You should do that eventually. You might want to move.

Tell your neighbor that you saw it get run over by a car %26amp; tried to save it, but it was too late. If you don't think you could live with yourself after that, tell your neighbor. Or just never tell and say ';Your cat died...'; Don't lie, just don't tell him/her the whole story and have a little funeral.
