Squirrel Hunting Question?

I live in Maryland... a residential neighborhood with alot of squirrels.

I was wondering if killing grey tree squirrels is legal here..

i dont want your opinion... i want fact and a link may be helpful.. tySquirrel Hunting Question?
Aww.. we got an obama sheep up above me. Listen to how naive he is.. pretty stereotypical isnt he. Spouting off his worthless personal opinion based on emotion rather than logic.

Guess the obama sheep has never had squirrel ';which are closely related to rats'; tearing up his attic and any soft plastic possession left outside. I wonder if the obama sheep would kill rats in his home or welcome them with open arms. If he didnt kill them he would catch them in live traps and relocate them so they become someone elses problem and that person can kill them.. common obama sheep logic.Squirrel Hunting Question?
First, check with YOUR local law-enforcement agencies (police and government center) before doing anything. With that said, the following is my opinion, based on my own experiences in dealing with the grey wolf-tailed roof-rabbit (sometimes known as the ';short-eared tree-rabbit';)...

In most urban residential areas in the U.S., it is generally not legal to kill squirrels...unless you have a darn good reason and do it without endangering people and/or other animals (same thing with rabbits...). The neighbour's cat would fall under the ';other animals'; classification...if you poison the squirrels, the cat could eat them and die, too; if you shoot them, you can miss completely and hit the neighbour's kid.

If you can, plant a garden. Then set out traps made specifically for squirrels -- out of reach of dogs, cats and children. (squirrels just can't resist sunflower seeds and peanut butter, for some reason...) Use the garden for growing fresh veggies and pretty flowers.

And whether some people think killing them is somehow ';wrong'; -- the grey wolf-tailed roof-rabbit (otherwise known as the common grey squirrel) is a nuisance ***rodent*** in most cities. They have been known to be carriers of fleas, the kind of fleas which spread bubonic plague and other nasty diseases.... Still think they're cuddly-n-cute?
Google it for you city/area. Also your local sporting goods store or any place that sells a hunting lic will have at least the state regs. It should include a list of those animals you can or cannot hunt and at what time of year. I would also check with the local law enforcement. If legal and it is a dense neighborhood, I suggest you use a good pellet gun in .17 or .22 cal. A Crossman pump will kill any small varmint in North America.
Wow I love when hippies post in hunting

Anyway if the area is urban your proboly not allowed to hunt otherwise get your self a shotgun
check with local authorities! they will know the fact to local laws!
