Any tips on squirrel hunting im going today?

should i stand hunt or still hunt squirrel and wont squirrel see orange florescnt? The limit daily is 6 in PA im hoping to get 3 or so give me some hints or tricksAny tips on squirrel hunting im going today?

I USED TO HEAD TO AN AREA KNOWN TO HAVE SQUIRRELS AND WALK IN QUIETLY ALWAYS WATCHING AND LISTENING UP AHEAD


EVEN IF THE SQUIRRELS WOULD SEE ME I WOULD JUST SIT DOWN AND BE STILL FOR ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES AND THEY WOULD COME OUT AGAIN


THE BEST TRICK WAS TO GET A POCKET FULL OF ROCKS AS SOMEONE ELSE SAID


WHEN A SPOOKED SQUIRREL HIDES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE TREE TOSS A PEBBLE TO HIS SIDE AND HE WILL GENERALLY SCOOT AROUND TO YOUR SIDE WHERE YOU CAN DISPATCH HIM EASILY
Use a squirrel call after you have sat somewhere for at least 5 minutes.
find a place where there are nut trees like hickory or oak and sit back away from them so you can see up in to them pick up some stone or nuts if a squirrel goes on the back side of the tree throw some stick or nuts over there and that will make it go on the side you are on and then you can shoot it good luck and be careful and enjoy the hunt

Husband just left to do the same....use a 17 caliber w/5 to 15 power scope. Gets 'em anywher from 25 to 150 yards. Rancher %26amp; farmer friends beg to have them gone, they are a problem to crops and ranch land. Unlimited in California!! Sit down, be steady %26amp; Go get 'em!
I would suggest sitting because your gonna be there a while, if your wearing camo then you have no prob

carry two quarters with your thumb and index finger make a circle but one of the quarters there take the other one and take the edge and rub it on the frist one it sounds like when they are cutting nuts and if the squirrel is hiding from you shake a small tree to get him to move and look for trees that have nut huals all around the ground thats a den tree there will be squirrels and watch the tree tops for movement

Dress up in a giant squirrel suit and make enticing chittering sounds...that oughtta attract them...
ive found the best time to go is early am...just as the sun is coming up. find yourself a good tree and sit a spell, just as it starts to warm up the squirrels will start moving trying to get warm. alot of times you'll see the silloutes against the sun...to draw them out you can take 2 quaters and place one in the left hand cupping it and take the other and kinda chip at it at a angle, itll sound like one barking, it takes some practice...use a 22 not a shotgun they are quiet curious about new things in the woods, as far as the oj goes i never found it to be a hinder...and if your hunting alone i gurantee they will play hide and seek with you, as youre on one side of the tree they will go to the other side. take a rock and toss it on the opposite side they will then run back toward you, but be quick they notice you there, round they go again...lol...good luck hope this helps
