Squirrel hunting suggestions?

i have a GAMO Big Cat right now and its a fairly good pellet gun but its pretty loud. i want a pellet gun with around the same fps (1200) but a lot quieter. as the question says i hunt a lot of squirrel but i live in the city next to a river so i have to keep my shots to a no-miss standard. all i want is a quiet break barrel (or not, idc) that has fps around 1200. all help is appreciated.Squirrel hunting suggestions?
Springers are already pretty quiet by airgun standards. If you want a 1000 (lead)-1200(PBA) fps springer that's quieter than the norm, then your best bet is probably to pair up a Gamo Whisper (due to the integral suppressor/shrouded barrel) with heavier lead pellets (which should keep the kinetic energy levels roughly the same but avoid the pellets going super-sonic and creating the crack of a sonic boom).

If you want to go the pcp air-rifle route, then I'd suggest taking a look at the Benjamin Marauder or Airforce Talon SS. Both have a shrouded barrel which makes it very quiet and have a power level equal to or greater than your Gamo Big Cat. The only down-side is both guns run around $500 for just the gun. You'll also need a source of high-pressure air (either a pump or a buddy tank that can be charged at your local dive shop).

The only other option I see is to get something like the Crosman 2100 or Crosman 2260. Both guns are less powerful than the Gamo Big Cat (the Crosman 2100 will deliver around 9 ft-lbs of muzzle energy and the Crosman 2260 will deliver around 11 ft-lbs of muzzle energy compared with the Big Cat's 13-14 ft-lbs of muzzle energy), but both will make less noise and still deliver enough energy and accuracy to hunt squirrel out to 30 yards or so.Squirrel hunting suggestions?
Id suggest looking at bass pro(or any other retail store) but if your worried because your neighbors might call the law then you should ask them first. If your worried the squirrels can hear you, Just be still for about five minutes after shooting and they will come back. I myself would rather use a .22 or shotgun to hunt squirrels, but it sounds like you cant. Good luck and remember if you cant make an ethical kill with your pellet gun then you shouldn't hunt with it.
If the airrifle is being to load ie ur prey is hearing the shots then try a volumetric silencer, their not very expensive and give me 2-3 extra shot to hit rabbits as it danpens the noise quite a bit
I'd drop your fps, your breaking the sound barrier
Try goin to the daisy website.
