You need a license unless you are:

Participating in a field trail sanctioned by the DNR director,

Landowner or leases of farm land who farm that land and are residents of Indiana, their spouses and children living with them, while hunting on land they own or lease,

Residents of Indiana engaged in full time military service and are carrying their leave orders and valid Indiana driver's license or voter ID card, or

Participating in a free youth hunting weekend.Do I need a license to hunt squirrel in Indiana?
Check out the link http://www.state.in.us/dnr/files/fw-hg_moreinfo.pdf and call your district. They will be able to tell you what you can and cannot do and what if any license you need to buy. (You may have to be accompanied by an adult when hunting).

Tony
yes, you need a youth license and today is the last day of the season here in indiana and your pellet gun is not enough to cleanly kill squirrels. save up till next season and get a good .22
Yep.

and you need to attend a hunter safety class to get that licence

and you should be supervised with that pellet gun till your 16
You have to have a license to hunt ANYTHING.
Please check the state website for Fish and Game or Dept of Natural Resources.
Yes
Why do you need a licence to hunt tree rats? In the UK I shoot them for pest Control. 107 grey squirrels in the summer. A MK4 Fenn trap and my Beretta 12g sort's them out.

Thumbs down plebs - Move to the land of the free, I don't need a hunting licence and I can shoot as many as I want in a day.
Why would you want to hunt squirrel? Thats just unecessary and mean. Hunting period is heartless.
