What's the best round for hunting squirrel with a .22?

My .22 rifles, pistols, and revolvers all do great using American Eagle made by Federal (38 grain copper plated hollow points). I also use Winchester Dynapoint hollow point 40 grain. What's the best round for hunting squirrel with a .22?
Whatever you can reliably hit them in the brain with starting with the .22 short and going up from there. For body shots .22 Long Rifle cartridges with hollow points or if you have a stash of them the CCI SGB load. I've gotten excellent accuracy with Winchester Power-Point and CCI Mini-Mag. A few friends have had rifles that liked Remington's Golden Bullet hp and Federal American Eagle hp.

If you can find them the old short hp loads are great for body shots too. What's the best round for hunting squirrel with a .22?
My personal preference is a .22 short hollowpoint. I bought a couple bricks of them several years back at a gun show and I don't know if they are still available. If you can find them they are great. Very little noise from a rifle but sufficient power to cleanly kill a squirrel.
its not so much as what type you use,as all most any will do the job on squirrels. but buy 500-1000 rounds of the same kind.practice with it...and then hunt with it. changing brands can also change point of impact.
if you mean .22 long rifle, cci. otherwise ..22mag is better. i go with hollow points in either round.
The remington 550 round hollow point bulk packs, cheap, accurate, and plenty for squirrel.
.22lr, mag is to much power it will ruin meat. I would only use a mag on rabbit to maybe even close range coyotes
22 longrifle hollow points
22lr cci mini mag hp
any .22 shell will work
